Ukraine’s first exhibition of children with disabilities’ paintings “White Rainbow”

Dear friends!

4-8th November 2014 UKRAINIAN CHILDART GALLERY and Centre of Ukrainian Culture and Art present the first in Ukraine “White Rainbow”, an exhibition of paintings made by children with special needs. Works were created by students of primary school “Child with Future”, aged 3-6 years old.
The official opening is at 16:00 November 4th, 2014.
This exhibition is the beginning of a great charity programme which is aimed to support children with special needs, their social adaptation, and to help their parents and teachers develop their artistic talents.

The programme in Ukraine aims to:

  • train teachers in ARTDAYCARE methodic in specialised educational facilities for children with special needs in various towns in Ukraine. This includes training sessions, master classes and seminars;
  • ensure materials for art lessons will be supplied for free to the abovementioned facilities. The materials will be bought with money from grants and other budgetary means;
  • create art centres for spreading the methodic and organise constantly working art exhibitions with works made by children with special needs;
  • make an art exhibition tour through Europe.

ARTDAYCARE

International project ARTDAYCARE is a set of new methodics for developing creativity in young (age 3-6 years old) children with special needs.
